The Apple Logo
I’ve seen several comments over the years
about how Apple got the logo wrong on the PowerBook — when the machine is
running, it’s
upside-down.
Actually, this is because
in the past, Apple was always concerned with the user. And the natural way to
orient a computer before opening it is so the logo is rightside-up. (In fact,
someone who once worked on portables at Apple told me they had done studies on
this.)
Clearly they switched for
marketing reasons, at the expense of usability.
